Inspired by Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's black dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy. Designing and manufacturing a simple, elegant dress that appears as if one just slipped it on, and yet is laid perfectly with little to no seams is not as simple as it seems. Since the dress was going to be for me, personalized patterns were made. First drafted from a mannequin, then adjusted to fit my size, all while having a bias cut to get the perfect amount of stretch. While photographing, I wanted to modernize the Breakfast at Tiffany's iconic black and white photograph, so I added a sunlamp and changed the colors.
